He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Ortiz and Joe Ortiz; and his brother Rudy Ortiz. He is survived by: his wife Ida; his children, Darlene Sanchez (Ernie), Connie Alvarado (Carlos) and Sonny Ortiz (Kellie); his siblings, Johnny Ortiz (Bernice), Eva Lucero (Jim) and Mary Ann Sisneros; and his grandchildren, Chris, Nick and Natasha. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
