She was predeceased by: her husband John Bates; her son Kevin Bates; and her parents, Dorothy Garrison and Basil Seal. She is survived by: her children, Jennie Bates, Tim Bates (Kim) and Wendy Mathews (Mark); her niece Diana Pihaylic; and also Michael Garrison. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
