He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Bergt and Amelia Bergt (Imbush); his wife Norgene Schwantz; and his brother Don. He is survived by: his children, Roberta Hall (Jim) of West Burlington, Iowa, Rachelle Hinze (Scott) of Humboldt, Nebraska and Robert Bergt (Shari) of Deshler, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Kristine Hall (Jerry), Jason Hall (Maria), Melissa Topil (Noah) and Nicholas Hinze (Ali); and his great grandchildren, Abel Hall, Noah Jurgena, Parks Hinze, Vivian and Mark Topil.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Urbauer-Price Funeral Home (100 S Linden Ave, Davenport, NE 68335). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church (5011 Road C, Byron, NE 68325).
