He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Lester Smith; his great-grandparent Christian; his wife Sang Kap Kim; his sons, Paulus (Susan) and John (Julie); his grandchildren, Scott, Phoebe and Jamie (Daniel); his great grandchild Kiley; his siblings, Elaine Millar (John) of Fargo, ND, Ronald Smith of Shevlin, MN, Lyle Smith (Sue) of Aberdeen, SD, David Smith (Kathryn) of Richfield, MN, Dianne Haukland of Coon Rapids, MN, Marilyn Prochnow (Jeff) of Casselton, ND, Douglas Smith (Rae) of Gardner, ND, Russell Smith (Terri) of Moorhead, MN and Colleen Lindgren (Doug) of Bagley, MN; his half-brother James Grote of Freeport, TX; and his mother Olivia. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
