He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Sue Tougas (Smith); and his parents, Leo Tougas and Clara Tougas. He is survived by: his close friend Karen Tougas (Landers); his wife Karen; his stepchildren, Christy Childs (Mark), Charles Landers (Heidi), Nonie Kudlach and Randy Landers (Rachael); and his friends, Charlie Bailhache, Dan Danielson, Additionally and Kindred. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; Sue's three sisters; nephews and nieces, as well as his church family and many friends.
