He was predeceased by: his father Philbert Avellar; and his sister Penny Christensen. He is survived by: his wife Pat Avellar of Vallejo; his grandchildren, Jacob Currie, Danielle Currie and Hope Ballerini; and also, Kristy Avellar Currie (David), Jody Avellar Ballerini (Gary), Phil Avellar of Napa and Steve Avellar of Brentwood.
