He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Schey and Mayme Schey (Heisig); his wife Dorothy Offerdahl; his granddaughter Kara Nelson; his son-in-law Donald Nelson; and his siblings, Reuben Schey and Leona Wavra.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Nelson (Marty Senger) of Merrimac and Kari Breunig (Ron Nelson) of La Pointe, WI; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Bailen (Peter) of Appleton, Kyia Gallus (Adam) of Merrimac, Nicole Tucker of Waunakee, Nathan Breunig (Kristie) of Cross Plains and Danielle Swift (Dan) of Middleton; and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Jackson Bailen, Gwendolyn, Penelope, Veronica Tucker, Madison Breunig, Morgan, Mason and Zachary Swift.
