He was predeceased by: his parents, Silverio Cabacungan and Zoila Casabar; his sisters, Esther Banez, Anastacia Macabeo, Gertrudes Cabacungan and Natividad Cabello; and his niece Leslie Banez.

He is survived by: his wife Theresita Cabuena Cabacungan; his children, Cecille Cabacungan and Manuel Cabacungan Jr.; his brother-in-law Vicente Cabello; his nephew Crisologo Cabello; his niece Carina Cabello; his great-niece Nikka Cabello; his great-nephew Christian Cabello; his nephew Gale Banez; his great-niece Holly Banez-Olson; and his great-nephew Matt Banez-Olson.
