She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Shively and Gladys Shively; and her husband Leonard Casey Barton. She is survived by: her children, Teresa and Craig Barton. She is also survived by three grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was on the board for the Ontario Museum of Art and History, she was the secretary for the advisory board of Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), and she held the position of secretary for David and Margaret Home auxiliary board.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the American Heart Association or First United Methodist Church of Ontario.
