It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Lee Barnette of Ukiah, California, who passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Barnette and Eileen Barnette; and his brother Gregg. He is survived by: his wife Candy McKibben Barnette; his children, Daron Wiemeyer, Blair Barnette (Cem) and Rebecca Barnette Bernier (Mark); his granddaughter Anna Elizabeth Bernier; his aunt Gay Harter; his cousins, Darcy Thornborrow, Danny, Doug Meester, Dennis, Wesley Morrissey, Debi Hempel and Rocky Harter; and his pet Kibbie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ron's name made to the Dunedin History Museum, Dunedin International Film Festival (DIFF), Dunedin Library, Dunedin Fine Art Center (DFAC), and Dunedin Cares, Inc., are appreciated.
