She was predeceased by: her sisters, Marjorie Mc, Cord Sugden and Merle McCord Pierce. She is survived by: her children, Ken Sommers and Katy Sommers; her stepchildren, Joan Harkness, James Harkness and Betsy Harkness Fiedler; and her sister Lorraine McCord Carter. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust, Inc.
