She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Whelan and Willmae Whelan; and her sisters, Virginia and Mary. She is survived by: her husband Hugh McAvoy (Mike); her children, Kathleen Starback (Jack), Hugh Jr. (Anita) and Martin (Carol); and her brother-in-law Gary Meagher. She is also survived by 7 grand children and numerous great grand children.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her name to the Boys and Girls Club of Ukiah.
