He is survived by: his mother Gloria Maldonado; his son Michael Pruneda; and his siblings, Ronald Munguia, Christopher Munguia, Tracy Chaney and Benny Maldonado. He is also survived by many nieces and, nephews.

In remembrance of Mike's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his name.
