He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Alvares and Maria Alvares; and his brothers, Joe and Eddie Alvares (Linda). He is survived by: his former spouse Gerry Pettit; his children, Steven (Amy), Rosie (John Potter) and Chris (Kim); his wife Linda Hines; his grandchildren, Kayla Butler (Travis), Ethan (Aubree), Christopher, Evyn, Abigail and Haileybrook; his great grandchildren, Jaxson and Graceyn Galvan; and his brother John Alvares. He is also survived by 4 nieces and 5 nephews.
