He is survived by: his children, Catherine M. Mendes and Manual M. Mendes of Crows Landing; his stepsister Louisa Allen of Denair; and his stepchildren, David Berbereia (Kelly), Tony Silveira, Manual Silveira and Theresa Gastelo.
