He was predeceased by: his parents, Monica Chavez and Reynaldo Chavez; and his sister Margaret Godinez. He is survived by: his wife Linda Chavez; and his children, Manny Chavez, Delinda Cisneros, Eric Chavez, Monica Baker, Allen Padilla and Jesse Padilla.
The family requests that donations be made in Manuel's remembrance to Sacred Heart Catholic Church School.
