He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolly Frances Megas and Melvin Smith; his stepfather George Megas; and his brothers, Kenneth Savage, Royce Savage, Eugene Savage and Byron Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Patricia Smith; his children, Karen Land (David), Greg Smith, Mary Vercammen (Mike) and Mylisa Casarez (John); his grandchildren, Bridgette, Trenton, Nicholas, Jared, Eli, Joe, Tabitha, Michael, Sam and Drew; and his great grandchild Levi.
A rosary was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Allen Mortuary (247 N Broadway, Turlock, CA 95380). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Church (1200 Lyons Ave, Turlock, CA 95380).
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made to Covenant Care Hospice of Turlock or Sacred Heart School of Turlock.
