He was predeceased by: his mother Natalia Cardenas; and his brother Juan Armando Cardenas. He is survived by: his wife Rosario Cardenas; his children, Veronica Cardenas and Pedro Cardenas Jr.; his father Juan Cardenas; his siblings, Carmela Sierra, Pablo Cardenas, Esperanza Huerta, Virginia Montoya and Lourdes Marin; and his grandchildren, Darian Herrera, Athan Cardenas and Isabella Cardenas.
