He was predeceased by: his parents, Gentry Hunter and Johnnie Carr Williams (Eloise); and his wife Ellinor Crossley Hunter. He is survived by: his stepfather James Williams; his sister Leona Hunter Nelsen; his close friend Ken Caraway; his daughters, Deborah Hunter Kramer and Deana Hunter Garrison; and his grandchildren, Venessa Kramer Gonzales, Devon Kramer, Briana Kramer Heath, Richelle Vassar Branson, Jennifer Garrison Smith, Cameron Lewis, Hunter Maddux, Kyle Leer and Eric Lewis.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Jim Hunter's name to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t) an organization dedicated to empowering disabled and homeless Veterans and their families, or a charity of your choice.
