He was predeceased by: his parents, Mateus Gonsalves Leonardo and Angelina Emilia Silva; his siblings, Mateus (Lurdes Leonardo) of Tulare, Jose Gonsalves of Gustine, Manuel Leonardo of Tracy and Maria Angelina (Verissimo Toste) of Terceira; and his sister-in-law Fatima Silva of Hanford.
He is survived by: his pets, Princesa and Xixina; his wife Maria of Lurdes Leonardo; his children, John, Lucy and Joe Leonardo; his grandchildren, Kevin Farpella (Constanza), Joe Leonardo Jr. (Danielle), Megan Farpella Clare (Jeffrey), Juan Leonardo, Jake Leonardo and Joseph Leonardo; his brothers, Francisco Silva of Hanford and Antonio Leonardo (Niveria Leonardo) of Manteca; and his sisters-in-law, Georgina Leonardo of Tracy and Clara Gonsalves of Gustine. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
