He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kikutaro Nakashima and Kane Nakashima; his former wife Grace Nakashima; his children, Jodeene Aikawa (Alan), Teresa Nakashima Rennie (Chuck), Karen Sato (Jan) and Ken Sato (Sherri); and his grandchildren, Alexandra Rennie, Kaileen Glass, Jennifer Caravelli, Kendra Sato, Ryan Sato, Initially Tosh and Carol. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held when the COVID pandemic permits.
