He was predeceased by: his father Donald Achen; his sibling Jim Achen; and his grandparents, Arthur Achen, Irma Achen (Hankemaier) and Elizabeth Phillips.

He is survived by: his daughter Bailey (Ryan Kloft); his mother Vivian Achen; and his siblings, Jodie Karapanian (George), Cathy Novak (John), Lisa Konrardy (Rod) and Scott Achen.
