He is survived by: his wife Margaret Smith; his children, Michelle Fowler (James), Janette Rasmussen (Ty), Carolyn Halvorsen (Ryan), John Penfield (Natalie), Scott Penfield (Jamie), Ryan Penfield (Sejin) and Steven Penfield (Jana); and his sister Susan Merrill. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
