He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emma Jarvis and Clarence Jarvis; his son Donald Laurence Jarvis; his wife Ann Jarvis; his daughters, Karen Dempsey (Brian) and Diane Powers (Bill); his grandchildren, Brad Dempsey (Jessica), Sarah Dempsey, Nathan Powers and Andrew Powers; and his great grandchild Ember Dempsey.
