He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Bampton and Gladys Bampton; his sister Sandra Abbey; and his sister-in-law Kathryn Bampton. He is survived by: his wife Catherine (Kate); his children, Mark Bampton (Pamela Kawano), Andrew Bampton (Mary) and Hannah; his grandson Beck Bampton; his brother Trevor Bampton; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Emma Bampton, Russel and Matthew Abbey; and his siblings-in-law, Geoff Abbey, James Boyle and Pauline Butler (Alan).
