He is survived by: his wife Angela Lopez Zavala; his children, Melissa Mendez Acton, Diego Mendez, Gisselle Mendez and Travis Mendez; and his grandchildren, Alexander Morales and Ares Acton. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Viewing was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 41875 C St, Temecula, CA 92592. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Perris Valley Cemetery (915 N Perris Blvd, Perris, CA 92570).
