“To my nieces and nephews and their families , Ging-Ging, Leny, Adam, Adrian and Amanda, to my cousins ,my deep sympathy, thoughts and prayers to all of you. Nelia is an epitome of a strong, determined woman. She has been a big sister to all my siblings.and I. We are so grateful for having her as we were growing up.We have a memory bank of a thousand and one stories of how Nelia helped us - she bought me a pair of shoes in high school so I could use it for a regional press conference. We run to her when Nanay ( my mother ) is short of cash and we have no jeepney fare to go to school. She is Tatay’s singing partner as no one among us have a great voice . Nelia’s charm ensues , her laughter echoes forever. I will remember Nelia with this statement :” Every time we knocked at your door, you opened your heart.” Continue to watch over all of us. Rest in peace Nelia. 😍😘🥰”
