She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie William Crews (Rachel Carson Crews) and Rachel Crews; and her siblings, Catherine, Patsy, Marie, Dorothy and Paul.

She is survived by: her husband Allen Nelson of Palmdale California; her sons, Doug (Rhonda), Phillip and Steve (Tina); her grandchildren, Keith (Stephanie), Samuel (Chelsea), Shannon (Victoria), Steven (Morgan) and Emily; her great grandchildren, Lily, Ronin, Kayden, Aubrey, Layne, Briar, Ava, Saylor, Rylee, Sydney and Kyle; her brother Norman; and her sister-in-law Terry (Louie).
