She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Brown and Eleanor Brown. She is survived by: her spouse Chesnut; and her sons, David and John. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Ruth Chesnut.
