He was predeceased by: his parents, Lila Burgeis and Donald Burgeis; and his siblings, Donna Scott and Bobby Burgeis. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his friend Pauline; his sister-in-law Betty Burgeis; his children, Linda Vaughn and Billy Burgeis; his sister Mary Lou Yearton; and his stepchildren, Sharon Jacobs, Ila Walker O'Connor and Roger Walker. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
