He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Betty; and his brother Johnny. He is survived by: his sister Katherine; his children, Garret (Claudia), Kayli and Clay (Kellie); and his granddaughters, Olivia and Luna.

He also served as a Taft College Foundation member, The Petroleum Club and The American Association of Drilling Engineering.
