He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Lippert and Bessie Lippert; and his son John Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Patricia Varley of Maricopa, CA; and his children, Kathleen, Ed Brannan of Coarsegold, CA, Randy, Oleta Lippert of Idaho Falls, Robert, Pam Lippert of Lubbock, Pamela and Michael McCormick of Taft, CA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
