He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Smith of Arkansas and Judy Smith of Taft; and his brother Jonathan Smith of Taft. He is survived by: his siblings, Pam Wolfe of Tucson, Patti Bench of Taft and Richard (Amy Smith) of Taft; his niece Brittany Ann; his cousin Lisa Anglin; and also Bonnie Rhoten. He is also survived by nephews, cousins, and friends.
