He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Louise (Peterson) and Ferrel Pendleton; and his son John Joseph Pendleton. He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Jonette McCoy (John) and David Pendleton of Sutter Creek, CA; his siblings, Shirley Clark (James) and Ferrel "Topper" Pendleton Doreen; his grandchildren, Brett Warner Pendleton and Jennifer Louise Nelson; and his great grandchild Gabriel "Gabe" Pendleton.
