He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Bankhead and Harriet Bankhead; and his siblings, Hulah Francis Bankhead Russell and Lynn Bankhead. He is survived by: his children, DeAnna K. Boose of Kansas City, Missouri, Kimberly C. Bankhead of Charlotte, John L. Bankhead of Oakland and Allyson J. Santa Maria of Alameda, California; his brother Quinton Zenon (Jackie); his brother-in-law Sonny McFallar; his close friend Phyllis Rose Jackson; and his uncle Mark "Joon" Sanders. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; niece, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
