He was predeceased by: his parents, Policarpio Samon and Basilia Dizon. He is survived by: his wife Trinidad Samson; his children, Rolando and Delia; his children-in-law, Esmeralda and Rolando Garcia; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Roland, Kristal, Diane, Kristle and Rodel. He is also survived by nine siblings.
