He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alvin Eckel and Melba Amelia Erickson; his wife Mary Wood; his daughter Jackie Crosby; and his uncles, Louis Bacigalupi and John Bacigalupi.
He is survived by: his son William "Bill" Wood (Martha); his son-in-law Mike Crosby; his grandchildren, Melissa Ekoff (Michael), Mike Crosby Jr., Stephen Bradley and Jessica McDonald (Patrick); and his great grandchildren, Angelina, Braden, Kate, Chloe, Emma, Abby, Lily, Patrick III and Millie.
