He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Michels and Peggy Michels (Margaret Doak); and his grandparents, William Michels, Frank Doak, Anna Michels and Margaret Doak.
He is survived by: his daughter Christina Rhoten (Dillon); his granddaughters, Lily and Callie (Sonoma); his brother Robert Michels (Ludmila); his nephew Robby Michels (Maryland); and his niece Veronika Michels (Berkeley).
