It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard William Cooper (Sonoma, California), who passed away on August 5, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Gurda and Gary Cooper; and his sister Marie Giveans. He is survived by: his wife Nelleke; his daughter Kirstin; his granddaughter Haley; his son Kyle (Sarah); his grandchildren, Wyatt and Sierra Cooper; and his sister Virgina Baker.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to EAA 1268, 1021 Stonebridge Drive, Napa, CA 94558 in order to continue his legacy of making a positive impact on the lives of young people as they work towards aviation careers.
