He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Austin "Buck" Yates and Naomi Laura Yates (Cloud); his son Jeff; and his sister-in-law Bonnie. He is survived by: his brother Barton Yates of Bonne Terre; his sons, Ricky (Kathy) and David (Karin); his grandchildren, Ashley, Jamie, Craig, Hannah, Alex and Diego; his nephews, Joe and John; and his former wife Barbara Ann Yates (Hanna).
