He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Teresa; his children, Elena, Salvador, Sonia and Oscar; his grandchildren, Teresita, Vanessa, Jessica, Andrew, Breanna, Stephanie, Monica, Jessie and Salvador Jr.; his son Herman; his brothers, Mario and Pedro Riquelme; and his mother Adelina. He was also cherished by two granddaughters, nephews, nieces and sister in law.
His free time, he spent it with a glass of Gato Negro and the racing form but, after 6 years lost his fight to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
