Merle Riggers Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle Riggers (Simi Valley, California), who passed away on May 24, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Ella Marie LeVasseur; and her siblings, Jean Baker, Richard Baker, Kathleen Baker Katevas and George Baker.

She is survived by: her husband Rolan Edward Riggers; her friends, Archie and Dorothy; her children, Tomi, Thomasina Jeannette Hutchinson (Herb), Mary Catherine Phillips (John), Mark Edward Riggers and Roslyn Ann McGeary (William); her stepdaughter Rolena Stinson (Mark); her grandchildren, Dustin Riggers, Toni Somers, Logan Somers, Garrett Phillips, Cory Smith, Nicole Smith, Joshua Hutchinson, Kristy Rose Carr (Jorge), Jake Sundelius (Jaide), Robyn Sundelius and Jasper Hopper; her great grandchildren, Jaylah Bella, Bailey Athena, Andrew Jay and Silas William; her sisters-in-law, Lani Baker (Richard) and Alexis Heavey (George); and her nieces and nephews, Shelley, Lisa Baker, Sean, Sharon Baker and Silvia Hopper. She is also survived by her other grand-children and great-grandchildren.

In March of 2020, when the Covid 19 Coronavirus Pandemic swept the land, our visits were forced to cease. We were informed on April 11, 2020 that she had developed symptoms of the dreaded virus and on April 15, she tested positive for Covid 19.
