He was predeceased by: his parents, John Heier and Irene Heier; and his brother Melvin Heier. He is survived by: his children, Kim Richardson (Paul), Keri Lorenson (George), John Heier and Joe Heier (Lisa); his grandchildren, Clare Richardson, Thomas Lorenson, James, Jonathan, Katherine Heier, Jacob and Sara Heier; and his brother Theodore Heier (Iva). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
