With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Richard Maar Jr. of Simi Valley, California, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on September 21, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Richard Maar, MD and Greta Lillian Griffithies, RN. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Maar of Benedict's Church; his children, Laura Maar and Michael; his daughter-in-law Kristi Maar; his son Henry Richard Maar III; and his sister Maretta O'Leary (Maar) of Yonkers. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the Bronx Zoo.
