She was predeceased by: her husband Masayuki Furumasu; and her brothers, Kakuo Shintaku, Kunio Shintaku and Toshiro Shintaku. She is survived by: her children, Jim, Ruby (Ryan Zirkle) and Karen; and her siblings, Kikuo Shintaku (Kiyomi), Peter Shintaku (Beverly) and Nancy Shigezane (Minoru). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and other relatives.
