“To Ian's family: This is Thomas (Berthold) from Munich, Germany. While living in Boston I played with Ian in a band (Carnival Dogs/Freakin'Staties) in the late 90s. I am very sorry to hear that Ian passed on. He was one of the few musically extremely gifted people I met in this live. Just a few weeks ago I played our recording to a friend, who was also blown away by Ian's amazingly forceful vocals. Although we weren't in contact after the band broke up I always kept him in good memory.”
