It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Royce Harvey Hawthorne (Shafter, California), who passed away on July 22, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Hawthorne and Enever Hawthorne; and his grandson Johnny Money. He is survived by: his wife Lydia Hawthorne; his daughter Connie (John Money); his grandchildren, Denise (Paul Fahey) and James Money (Shaena); his great grandchildren, Macy, Braden, Juliane, Reese, Millie, Elijah, Parker and Colton; and his brother Bud (Daisy Hawthorne) of Oklahoma. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
He would transport disabled friends to and from doctor's appointments, he would donate blood, and he generally did anything he could to help others.
