She is survived by: her son Gregory Turpin (Carla Turpin) of New Iberia; her sisters, Opal Southern and Frieda Gardner; her grandchildren, Nakita Sloan (Matthew Sloan), Dallas Turpin (Breanna Turpin) and Avalea Turpin; her great grandchildren, Franklin Sloan, Raiden Hammond, Scarlett Hammond, Harvey Turpin and Irelyn Turpin; her niece Stacey Cohen; and her nephew Jeffery Turpin.
