He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Garza Badillo; his son Leandro Badillo III; his parents, Leandro Badillo Sr. and Tomasa Badillo; and his siblings, Carlos, Armando, Richard Badillo, Hortencia Reyes and Ofelia Perez.
He is survived by: his children, Mario Badillo Sr., Ruben Badillo, Dora Trollinger, Alice Juante, Diana Mokuahi and Susan Davis; his adoptive son Paul Castanon; and his sisters, Tomasita Sanchez, Juanita Berdanga, Ane Cardona, Gina Gamez and Pauline Mendez. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
