He was predeceased by: his parents, Zane Gray and Frances Gray; and his brother James Gray. He is survived by: his wife Deborah J. Gray (Genazzi) of Sebastopol; his sons, Nathan Gray (Rosa) of Sebastopol, Jason Gray (Angel) of Windsor and Randy Gray (Carly) of Sebastopol; his grandchildren, Tim, Trevor and Brooklyn; and his sisters, Sandra Gray and Betty Lorraine Gray. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that donations be made in his name to the Oncology Department of UCSF in lieu of flowers.
